After all, new fields are now available for study and employment, and the duration of post-study work visas is increased.

If, as an international student, you want to work in Australia for a longer period (up to five years), this is the option for you. The good news is that as long as your visa is in good standing, you have full rights to study, work, and travel to and from Australia.

This implies that the following increases will be made to the number of years that holders of visas may stay in Australia:

  • Two to four years are required for some bachelor’s degrees.
  • Three to five years are required to obtain some master’s degrees.
  • For all PhD degrees, four to six years are required.

Graduates can remain back, study, and work in Australia for two to four years with a post-study work visa. Starting in November, Australia’s stay-back time for those with post-study work visas may be extended.

International students worldwide will be pleased with the expansion of the After Study Work Visa in Australia. Depending on where they are studying in Australia, students can now graduate, live, study, work, or look for work there for two to four years after graduation.
